Over the last 18 months, more than 750 hours have been spend by F1 engineers in order to renovate the B194-05 to perfection and have it race ready. The renovation has involved the following 3 highly regarded firms : Team Ascari, Longford Performance Engineering and par Fred Goddard Racing Ltd. The car has been maintained as close as possible in its very original state, while upgrading electronics and paddle shifting system and replacing parts becoming unsafe with age, all suspension and wings crack tested and certified. The car will be ready to race in a competitive series like the Formula Euroboss (which one of its sister cars won a few years ago) or then to go to a museum (which would be a real pity, but then again, this is probably F1’s most significant car!).
Below is a list of the detailed work which has been performed on this car:
- all suspension and wings crack tested and certified
- uprights and drive shafts rebuilt
- all master cylinders refurbished
- dampers rebuilt
- engine and gearbox rebuilt
- new fuel tank and pumps

- Pectel engine management system
- New clutch and clutch slave seals

Over the next week, the car is readied for a final track shakedown, last step preceding its release for delivery
